Past Studies
YoungMoms Study
The YoungMoms study is a prospectve study of young pregnant people (< 22 years old) recruited from Magee Womens Hospital and affiliated clinics. Patients are usually recruited early in pregnancy and complete online surveys. A subsample of participants are recruited for the longitudinal study and asked to complete surveys and interviews during their second and third trimesters and 6-12 months postpartum, when they come in with their baby. The goals of this study are to better understand how and why younger people use tobacco and marijuana during and after pregnancy, and how that may or may not impact infant development.
